That Noisy Trump

About

This site is thatnoisytrump.com (silly name I know, but I’m British and had to allude to trump being slang for flatulence. I couldn’t help myself).

It’s all free, no ads, no agenda, no login required, no subscription or anything like that.

It has a number of features:

1

Daily Historical Record

Primarily it is a historical record of every day of Trump’s second term — Key Events, Pardons, Executive Orders, Tariff actions. It began 20th January, 2025 and is updated automatically every day at midnight EST.

Each day summarizes the key events, categorizes them and provides links to the news sources the event summary was derived from. Where possible each event has multiple news sources to maintain objectivity.

In addition to the key events, it makes note of any Pardons, Executive Orders and Tariff actions, and provides links to supporting sources for those also.

You can access any day from the homepage either by entering the day number in the box, or searching for a specific date, event, pardon, exec order etc. A link to the new day is sent via the Social Media accounts as part of the daily refresh — social media links at the bottom of this page and in the site header for reference.

2

Stories

Major ongoing narrative threads are tracked on the Stories page. The site collates all the events across all the days and assigns them to narrative story ‘threads’.

So, for example, if you wanted to know everything that’s happened so far with Ukraine-Russia Peace Negotiations, a story thread has been created and is being tracked for that. It shows you summaries of all the events that have occurred related to that story in the order they occurred, when they occurred, and a link to any supporting news articles for each event.

Each story thread is automatically updated with any new relevant events when the site updates daily. A report is sent daily via the Social Media accounts highlighting which story threads were updated as part of the daily refresh.

Please send suggestions for any missing story threads to admin@thatnoisytrump.com, and I will create them.

3

Pardons

The Pardons page tracks every individual pardoned or commuted by Trump in his second term, with subsequent activity tracked. New pardon profiles are automatically created as part of the daily update when new pardons are issued.

New offenses, subsequent mentions in the media etc. adds tags to the respective profile. These tagged profiles automatically float to the top of the list so that the most ‘relevant’ profiles are most visible. Any profile can be found via the search function — hopefully this will help navigate the 1,605 pardons already issued.

It provides a quick way to track if anyone who Trump has pardoned has gone on to do anything of consequence since being pardoned. There’s a banner at the top that aggregates the number of ‘new offenses’ (currently at 102).

Any mentions in the media during the daily refresh automatically adds the content and a link to the respective pardon profile. These pardon profiles are a work in progress and I’m going to continue updating them manually with relevant data that hasn’t been picked up during the daily updates.

Please send information about articles that are missing from any Pardon Profile to admin@thatnoisytrump.com. I’ve scanned all the news API sources that support it, but there must be hundreds of articles out there that I haven’t discovered.

4

Analytics Dashboard

There’s an analytics dashboard on the Dashboard page. Essentially snapshot charts and trends based on data collected during the daily update — types of events, total pardons, executive orders, tariff actions etc., along with charts that make it easier to digest everything.

Further data is accessible in each chart by hovering over data points. For example, the Tariff Rate Timeline chart is a scatter graph that depicts a tariff action plotted against the day of Trump’s term and its announced rate. If you hover over a dot, it will show you the country affected, the rate, the day it occurred etc.

These charts are all updated daily along with the refresh cycle.

5

Mailing List

The mailing list sends a summary email of all the noise Trump made in the previous week, every Monday morning. It’s the previous 7 days summarized as a ‘recap’ of everything that happened and only takes a few minutes to read. I’m hoping it might help as a quick reminder of what went before… ahead of the next onslaught.

I will be adding new features as they occur to me.
